Jackson cools off in his new pool

Jackson wish

Jackson, who was diagnosed with chronic granulomatous disease, wanted his very own swimming pool - and Make-A-Wish helped make it happen. "He can't wait wait till next summer to use it again," says Jackson's mom, Mandy. Jackson's condition affected his immune system, putting him at risk for severe infections. Following a bone marrow transplant last year, his health improved, allowing his first encounter with that staple of summer: the swimming pool. "When he was introduced to the pool early this summer, he absolutely loved swimming," says Mandy. When he's not swimming or playing with his little brother, Jackson likes to spend time with his cat, Muffy. He also enjoys drawing, coloring and watching his favorite cartoons.
