12 year old Bryson loves basketball. And he loves the L.A. Lakers. So, when Bryson, who was diagnosed with leukemia last year, made a wish, it's no surprise that it involved his favorite sport and his favorite team. Thanks to Make-A-Wish, Bryson can now shoot hoops in his very own Lakers-themed half-court, right in the backyard of his Murfreesboro home. While Bryson has been declared cancer-free and doing great, he is still taking chemo. "Bryson has been an amazing fighter and very strong throughout this entire ordeal," says his mom, Felicia. In addition to being thankful to everyone at Make-A-Wish, Felicia says Bryson is also appreciative of his support team at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital. "Bryson is truly grateful for having such amazing doctors and nurses at Vanderbilt. They have been very supportive, from the first day he arrived," says Felicia. These days, when Bryson isn't shooting hoops on his backyard court, he is practicing with the basketball team at school and working hard at making straight A's.
