Parris' rollercoaster adventure

parris wishParris is a girly-girl, but when this 9-year-old made a wish it wasn't to hang out with fairytale princesses or get her nails done.  No, this Murfreesboro girl just wanted to escape and be a kid for a while.  Disney World was just the ticket.  Diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia when she was 7, Parris currently gets a monthly chemotherapy treatment at Vanderbilt and should be finished with her treatment in March of next year.  During her stay at Disney World, Parris made the rounds on every roller-coaster-type ride in the Disney compound. "She still talks about the roller coasters," says Parris' mom, Brandi.  "She got on every single one she possibly could.  She wasn't really scared."  One highlight of Parris' visit was when Mayor Clayton and Ms. Merry (characters who reside in the Give Kids the World resort) tucked Parris into bed.  Back at home now, Parris is spending time playing with her Barbie dolls and getting her nails done.
