How long have you been affiliated with Make a Wish and in what capacity?
I have been working with Make-A-Wish since I was a freshman Chi Omega at The University of Texas in 2010. My Make-A-Wish experience has been so fulfilling,  that I became a wish granter when I moved to Nashville. I love it so much!
What is your favorite wish story or experience with Make-A-Wish?
I recently helped grant a wish for a wonderful girl whose wish was a shopping spree. Her illness had kept her home bound, so she really didn't understand her passions or what the potential for her life could be. We had so much fun brainstorming and adventuring to find exactly what she wanted. When we finally took a break, she looked up at me and said Œ"I'll never forget this day with you. Thank you." I was so touched, Šbut the story didn't end there. We were in a kid's jewelry store and I pointed out some sunglasses that I thought she might like. She asked me if I wanted to get them for myself. She wanted to use HER wish money to buy ME sunglasses. This 12-year-old was the epitome of generosity and selflessness. We ended the day with her asking me how she could get involved with Make-A-Wish because she wanted to make an impact on someone else's life like we had done in hers. When I got to my car, the tears started. This sweet girl  was showing the compassion and kindness that I think is missing in so much of the world right now. It was one of the most fulfilling days I've ever had. I am so grateful to have had the honor of serving this girl through Make-A-Wish.
In what ways have you seen the impact a wish can have on a child?
I once worked with someone who didn't have the ability to go outside much or do many things with her body. Through the wish  process, she discovered that the scope of art and creativity were so much bigger than she had ever imagined. Before, she was limited to using pens and paper. We bought her easels, canvases, variety brush sets, watercolors, oil paints and so many more tools that opened her world of possibilities to express herself vividly without boundaries. As she experienced all the generosity of others wanting to help her, she felt inspired to volunteer for Make-A-Wish and impact others.

If you could have one wish, what would it be?
To play a show to a stadium crowd and be able to impact people with my gift of music.
