Wish Kids Going Back to School: Micah

We know "Back to School" can take on a new meaning for our wish kids, especially after they've missed school to undergo treatment. We heard from four wish kids who shared with us their Back to School Experience.

This is Micah. He is 11 years old. A few years ago, Micah was diagnosed with the first of two brain tumors. After undergoing surgery, Micah spent the next few months learning to walk and talk again. In 2015, he and his family went to Washington, D.C. for his wish. A huge history buff and amateur coin collector, Micah toured lots of museums, visited the U.S. Mint, and saw the famed cherry blossoms. Even after his brain tumor returned about a year later, Micah fought again and remained strong and optimistic through his second round of treatments.  Micah continues to apply those virtues to all parts of his life—including school. He is starting sixth grade at Spring Hill Middle School. Good luck this year, Micah!
