The Event: Seven-year-old Tessa has been fighting acute lymphoid leukemia (ALL), a cancer that affects the white blood cells. A couple of months ago, Tessa learned she was eligible for a wish from Make-A-Wish® Middle Tennessee. Since then, Make-A-Wish staff and volunteers have been working hard on her wish behind the scenes. When we asked Tessa what she wanted for her wish she told us; she wanted to go to the beach with her sisters for the first time. On Sunday, Tessa, her family and wish granters will arrive at Nomzilla in Edgehill Village where she will find out her wish is coming true.
The Background: Zaxby’s hosted its national convention for licensees and vendors at Gaylord Opryland Hotel in April. Through a silent and live auction Zaxby’s raised a total of $59,460 to benefit Make-A-Wish Middle Tennessee. Thanks to the hard work and effort of the Zaxby’s team and the generous donations by their vendors Zaxby’s will help grant wishes to children battling life-threatening medical conditions just like Tessa. “We are pleased that the money raised from our convention will grant the wishes of eight courageous children,” said Zach McLeroy, CEO and co-founder of Zaxby’s.
