When 18- year- old Kansas native, Kaley, was told that she would be flying to Nashville to meet American Idol- turned country star Scotty McCreery, she thought all of her wishes had come true. But meeting Scotty was just the icing on the cake for Kaley, who, unbenownst to her, would receive star treatment during her stay in Music City. Kaley, who had been suffering from leukemia, describes how she was pampered all day leading up to the taping of CMA's Country Christmas at Gaylord Opryland Hotel, "I loved the limo ride and had no idea that I would be sitting front-row at the taping, that was a big surprise." In addition to sitting front row, the country singer dedicated a song to Kaley who was excited to watch the live broadcast of the performance come December. She describes how meaningful it was to watch her family on TV, "We had a viewing party at my church with big screens. Everyone came out to watch, it was really cool." Thanks to Make-A-Wish and a hospitality that only Nashville could deliver, Kaley and her family enjoyed a holiday season they will never forget.
