Doesn't every teenage girl secretly wish for her own shopping spree? Like most girls her age, 16-year-old Franklin resident Andrea loves to shop - an indulgence that's severely limited by a teenager's allowance. But thanks to Make-A-Wish and some supportive sponsors, last August Andrea arrived by limo for a day of retail therapy at The Mall at Green Hills. "I had a blast," Andrea says of the experience, which netted her a treasure trove of swag that would make most teens swoon: new clothes, an iPod, sunglasses, makeup and more. While most teen girls don't get their own shopping spree, they also don't have to deal with the daily struggles of cystic fibrosis (a chronic lung disease) - something that Andrea has lived with since birth. Andrea is very grateful for the kindness of the volunteers, store personnel and others who made her wish possible. "They all made it a comfortable and enjoyable experience for me."
