About Stars for Wishes

Save the Date for January 14, 2017!

Details about the fifth annual Stars for Wishes are coming soon!

What is Stars for Wishes?

The event was built in 2013 as a chance for celebrities to join our local partners to show their support for Middle Tennessee wish kids.  This year's event, hosted by radio personality Blair Garner, will include entertainment from Grammy Award-winner Richard Marx and a delicious menu created by Chef Matt Bolus, executive chef at The 404 Kitchen.

The need...

Since 2000, Make-A-Wish Middle Tennessee has been proudly serving 38 counties in our community.  More than 1,400 children facing life-threatening illnesses have already received their wish and over the next 12 months, 150 more kids will be ready for their wishes to be granted.

These wishes give children the chance to have moments of normal--- a break from doctor’s visits, surgeries, chemotherapy, radiation, blood tests, and time in the hospital.  Most wish kids want what healthy kids take for granted: time with their family on a vacation, shopping at the mall, a backyard play set, or a trip to DisneyWorld.  Wonderful things to look forward to, fantastic distractions from being sick and scared of the next treatment—that is what a wish gives a sick child and the family that loves them.
