LOCAL EAGLE SCOUT CANDIDATE COLLECTS GIFTS
FOR MIDDLE TENNESSEE WISH KIDS
BRENTWOOD, Tenn. — A local Eagle Scout candidate has partnered with Make-A-Wish® Middle Tennessee to collect gifts for area children awaiting their wish. Locke Davis of Franklin, TN engaged local kids and businesses to help collect small gifts and cards that will be mailed to wish recipients in the weeks before their wish takes place.
“When a child is referred to Make-A-Wish, we work with the wish family to coordinate the wish on a timeline that works for the family,” said Beth Torres, President & CEO of Make-A-Wish Middle Tennessee. “Sometimes a child’s wish is better suited for a different time of the year, or a child must wait until they are medically cleared to participate in their wish. Thanks to Locke’s efforts, we are able to stay engaged with our wish kids and let them know we’re thinking of them until their wish is officially granted.”
